Ingredients
Mutton - 300 g
Onion - 1
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tbl sp
Tomato - 1
Curry Leaves - 2 sprig
Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Aniseed - 1/2 tsp
Oil + Ghee - 2 tsp
Salt - to taste
Method
- Heat oil and ghee in a pressure cooker,splutter aniseed,add curry leaves,sliced onion and saute till onion becomes slightly brown.Then add ginger garlic paste and fry till raw smell goes off.
- Now add the mutton pieces followed by salt,turmeric powder,chilli powder,pepper powde and chopped tomatoes.Saute for a while,add required water and close the lid and wait for five whistles.Once the pressure is released open the lid and serve with hot steaming rice.
Little Words
- This can be prepared as dry fry also by reducing water while pressure cooking or after opening the lid keep on low flame and fry till it becomes dry to avoid getting burnt.
- Tastes excellent with rice,idli,dosa,poori,chappathi...
- A little more pepper powder can be added instead of chilli powder if desired.
