| Daria Dal/Roasted gram | 1 tbl sp |
| Grated Coconut | 1 tblsp |
| Aniseed | 1/4 tsp |
| Salt | to taste |
| Gingelly Oil | 1 tbl sp |
Cooking Steps
- Heat one teaspoon of oil,saute onion till golden brown,add curry powder,coconut,roasted gram and little water and grind to a fine paste.
- Heat oil in a pan,splutter aniseed,add ginger garlic paste and fry till raw smell goes off.Now add chicken pieces and turmeric powder.
- Add the curry powder paste to this and adjust water.Add salt and chilli powder(if using).Cover with lid and cook till chicken is done.
- I used home made curry powder which has all the spices in it.
- A quick chicken gravy which goes well with rice,idli,dosa,chappathi,poori...
