Fish Fry

Prep Time:15 m      Cook time:20 m
Serves:3

Ingredients

Fish                    - 1 kg
Oil                       - 2 tlsp
Lemon                 - 1

To Grind
Onion(shallots)  - 10
Tomato              - 1
Ginger               - 1"piece
Garlic                - 3
Curry Leaves       - few
Dry Red Chilli     - 3
Salt                    - as required
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp

Method

  • Grind all the ingredients to grind into a paste.Sprinkle water if necessary.Marinate the fish pieces with this paste and set aside for an hour.
                
  • Heat a tablespoon of oil in a pan or tawa and place the fish pieces.Cook on medium flame and then after few minutes gently turn and cook the other side until golden brown or until the fish is cooked.Repeat the same for the remaining fish pieces.Squeeze lime juice and serve with sliced onions if desired.

Salmon Fish Bites

Ingredients

Salmon  Fillets       -  2
Tomato Ketchup    -  1 tblsp
Chilli Powder         -  3/4 tsp
Ginger Garlic Paste -  1 tblsp
Coriander Powder -  1 tblsp
Cumin Powder      -  1/2 tsp
Lemon Juice          -  1 tblsp
Salt                       - to taste
Oil                        - to shallow fry

Method

  • Mix tomato ketchup,chilli powder,ginger garlic paste,coriander powder,cumin powder,salt and lemon juice.
         
  • Cut the fish into pieces.You can use any desired variety.
       
  • Apply the masala over the fish pieces and shallow fry till golden brown on both sides.
                 
        
  • Squeeze in some lime juice and serve with onion rings.
